Electric strike NB 1740 AC/DC with memory and brake

The electric strike NB 1740 AC/DC is an ideal solution for pedestrian gates and the entrance doors of residential buildings. It is designed to be connected to any residential building intercom, which releases the door with a signal.

This is the version with memory and brake. Memory means that after the opening signal the door stays unlocked until it is opened and closed again. The brake lever keeps the door permanently unlocked while it is engaged. The strike works on the fail-secure (NC) principle: locked without power, released when power is applied. The operating voltage is 8–12 V AC/DC, with a current draw of 0.5 A.

The latch depth is adjustable, so the strike can be matched to the position of the lock latch. The body of the strike is made of steel. The product comes from the European manufacturer JIS and is tested for 250,000 openings, with a tear-off resistance of 4000 N.

The electric strike is recessed into a cut-out in the door frame behind the strike plate and fixed with the screws included in the box. The 1700 series is symmetrical and reversible, so there is no left- or right-hand version. The strike plate is not included and is sold separately – the NB 907X long stainless steel plate (25 × 250 mm), the flat 250 × 25 × 3 mm plate and the angled 250 × 25 mm plate from our range all fit it.
