WC turn spindle reducer 6 to 7 mm

The WC turn spindle reducer bridges the difference between the lock and the spindle: on some locks the hole for the WC turn spindle is 7 × 7 mm, while the usual WC turn spindle measures 6 × 6 mm.

The reducer is made of iron with a bare, zinc-plated surface in silver and no paint, so it keeps its shape through the daily locking of a bathroom door.

If the spindle has play in the lock, or the turn knob has free travel in use, the reducer is inserted into the lock and adapts the 7 × 7 mm hole to the 6 × 6 mm spindle. It is shaped for simple push-in mounting and protects the spindle against accidentally falling out. At one end it has a bent tab that keeps it in place and stops it slipping into the lock.

It is fitted without tools, simply by pushing it into the hole in the lock; one reducer is supplied.
