Description
The Spindle for door knob 8 × 8 mm with a rotating M10 thread is used when the handle is mounted on only one side of the door and a fixed knob sits on the outside. It lets the handle be fixed to the knob while keeping its function of opening the door when pressed down.
It consists of two functional parts: the part with the rotating thread is screwed into the knob, while the slotted part passes through the lock and takes the handle, which is clamped with a hex socket screw. The spindle is made of zinc-plated steel in silver: the square part is smoothly ground and glossy, while the hexagonal shoulder with the M10 thread is matt grey zinc.
The slotted part expands as the handle's hex socket screw is tightened and so fixes the handle on the spindle, keeping the connection firm in daily use.
It is available in lengths of 100, 150 and 200 mm and is intended for locks with an 8 × 8 mm handle hole; one spindle in the chosen length is supplied.
