Metal handle spindle reducer 8 to 9 mm

The metal handle spindle reducer bridges the difference between the lock and the spindle: on some locks the spindle hole is 9 × 9 mm, while the standard door handle spindle measures 8 × 8 mm.

The reducer is made of iron and its surface is matt zinc-plated in silver, without lacquer or chrome, so it keeps its shape through the daily use of the handle.

If the spindle has play in the lock, or a handle without a return spring droops or has free travel in use, the reducer is inserted into the lock and adapts the 9 × 9 mm hole to the 8 × 8 mm spindle. It is shaped for simple push-in mounting and protects the spindle against accidentally falling out.

It is fitted without tools, simply by pushing it into the hole in the lock; one reducer is supplied.
