Add-on security lock TITAN 784 brown

The add-on security lock TITAN 784 in brown is the most common way to give wooden doors extra security. It is fitted as a second, independent lock and raises the protection level of the door.

The housing is made of steel and the brown finish suits wooden doors well. The lock is universal, so it fits left- and right-hand doors as well as single- and double-leaf doors.

From the inside the lock is locked with a knob, from the outside with the keys of the high-quality Titan VDC K1 cylinder. The mechanism is designed so that the door cannot be locked accidentally by slamming it shut, and from the outside the lock can always be opened with the key, no matter how it was locked.

The cylinder is replaceable: if different keys are needed, a new VDC cylinder can be bought separately and fitted while keeping the existing lock, and on request a high-security TL profile cylinder (with an owner card protecting against key copying) can be used instead; only TITAN VDC or DOM 555 P cylinders are approved for this lock. The lock is surface-mounted above the main lock on the inside of the door leaf with a thickness of 38–79 mm, and the strike plate has to be fixed with an anchor screw into the wall. Everything needed for mounting and use is included: the lock, the Titan VDC K1 cylinder with 3 keys, a strike plate with adjustment washers and all required screws.
