Security lock MARC 745.85 backset 35 mm

The MARC 745.85 security lock is a mortise lock from the European manufacturer MARC® that provides a high level of security for entrance doors. Locking is distributed over three points along the door edge, which considerably increases resistance to forced opening, so this type of lock is a common choice for exterior doors of residential and commercial buildings.

The lock body is made of steel and the forend of stainless steel, which gives the lock robustness and a long service life in daily use. The built-in lift function and the adjustable latch make operation easier and help the door sit precisely against the frame.

When the key is turned, the mechanism engages three locking points at the same time: a swing bolt and 2 hook bolts that grip the door frame. The force applied to the door, for example during a break-in attempt, is spread over several points, which considerably reduces the risk of a successful forced entry, while the door becomes more stable with better sound and thermal insulation.

The lock is universal and fits both left- and right-hand doors. The backset to the centre of the handle or cylinder is 35 mm and the standard handle–cylinder distance is 85 mm.
