Strike plate for wooden doors 18 and 22 mm

The strike plate for wooden doors is a steel plate that is fitted into the wooden door frame and receives the latch and bolt of a mortise lock.

It is made of galvanised steel, which gives it high strength and corrosion resistance.

It is intended for wooden door locks 6.5 and 8 – these are older lock size codes: 6.5 means a backset of 40 mm and 8 a backset of 50 mm, both with a centre distance of 90 mm. It comes in two widths – 18 and 22 mm – with the same length of 238 mm, so the width is chosen to match the faceplate of the fitted lock.
