Security backplate Dieckmann F2 handle-knob silver

The Dieckmann F2 security backplate handle-knob in silver is the most common way to add security to existing wooden or metal doors: it is affordable, easy to fit and protects against the most common burglary method – cylinder snapping.

The backplate is made of aluminium and reinforced with a steel plate. The security plate is 15 mm thick, twice as thick as a standard backplate, so the cylinder does not protrude and cannot be gripped and snapped. Doors with a protruding cylinder – almost always the case on wooden doors because of the thin outer rebate – can be opened silently in a few seconds.

This set has a fixed knob on the outside, which prevents opening without a key, so a lock with a lifter function is required. The backplate cannot be unscrewed or forced off from the outside, because it is fixed with screws through the door leaf to the inner receiving plate.

The backplate suits both left- and right-hand doors and everything needed for mounting on the door is included. The model is available in two colours and as handle-handle or handle-knob.
