Security backplate Dieckmann F2 handle-handle silver

The Security backplate Dieckmann F2 handle-handle silver is the most common way to add protection to existing wooden or metal doors: it is affordable, easy to fit and protects against the most common burglary method – cylinder snapping.

The backplate is made of aluminium with a steel reinforcement and comes in silver with a matt finish. The steel plate and the aluminium body give the set strength and a long service life, and the handle-handle version means a handle on both sides of the door.

The security plate is 15 mm thick, twice as thick as a standard backplate, so the cylinder does not protrude. Doors with a protruding cylinder – almost every wooden door, because of the thin outer rebate – can be opened silently by snapping the cylinder in just a few seconds.

The backplate is fixed with screws through the door into the inner receiving backplate, so it cannot be unscrewed or forced off from the outside. It suits left- and right-hand doors, and the package contains a pair of handles with a square spindle and all mounting accessories; the cylinder is not included.
