Mortise lock Titan 8 · key or cylinder

The Mortise lock Titan 8 is a classic lock for wooden interior doors and is available for a key (BB) or a profile cylinder (PZ). The number 8 is the old manufacturer code for the 50 mm backset with a 90 mm centre distance. Its robust build and simple mechanism make it a dependable choice for homes, flats and offices.

The faceplate and the case are made of galvanised (zinc-plated) steel, the latch and the bolt of zinc alloy. This construction improves corrosion resistance and extends the service life, while the carefully finished parts give a smooth key action and an easy-running latch.

The convex bolt locks with two turns of the key. Double locking reduces dynamic stress on the door leaf and increases the security of the closed door.

The lock is reversible: turning the latch adapts it to left-hand or right-hand doors. The follower is a 9 mm square, so handles with an 8 mm spindle need an adapter. The strike plate and the mounting screws are not included.
