The Mortise lock for Chinese security doors is designed to be fitted in Chinese-made security entrance doors. It is universal and suits both left- and right-hand doors. It is a mortise lock for the leaf of Chinese steel security doors, with a 60 mm backset and a 68 mm centre distance.

The lock body is made of steel. When the door is locked, 3 steel bolts extend with 3 turns of the key.

A quick-locking function is also built in: an additional bolt is thrown with the button on the handle. The lock is made for a standard euro profile cylinder.

Before fitting, the lock is set for a left- or right-hand door without replacing any parts: put a screwdriver into the marked opening, push the spring-loaded screw aside until the latch comes out, then turn the latch by 180°. The flat side of the latch must face the side to which the door opens. The mounting screws are included. The strike plate, euro profile cylinder, keys and handle are bought separately, and a matching handle for the same doors is also available.

Application and use

• Choose the cylinder length by the thickness of the leaf and the handle plate: each side of the cylinder, measured from the centre of the fixing screw hole to the outer edge of the plate, may equal the measured value or be up to 2 mm longer, never shorter; a fitted cylinder must not protrude more than 2 mm outside
• A matching handle for the same doors is also available
