Mortise lock Elzett 709 · cylinder with key-retracted latch

The Mortise lock Elzett 709 is a mortise lock for wooden doors with a profile cylinder hole and a built-in key-retracted latch. It stands out for its very small body while keeping the classic 90 mm centre distance.

It is made of steel: the faceplate is galvanised, the body is painted, and the latch and bolt are zinc alloy. This construction gives the lock strength and a long service life.

The bolt locks with two turns of the key, which prevents dynamic stress on the door leaf and increases security. The key-retracted latch function means the door does not open by pressing a handle alone – the key must also be turned, which is ideal for doors with a knob or a pull handle on the outside.

The lock is reversible for left-hand and right-hand doors – the latch simply turns round. The pack contains the lock and the strike plate; the cylinder is bought separately, depending on the required length, quality and security level.
