Description
The double-acting spring hinge IBFM is made by the Italian manufacturer IBFM (Made in Italy). It is designed for wooden doors, half-doors and passageways that need to open in both directions – inwards and outwards.
IBFM double-acting hinges are made of durable nickel-plated steel. They let people and objects pass easily, and the built-in spring mechanism returns the door to the closed position afterwards.
The closing force and opening resistance can be precisely adjusted with the spring tensioning screw. According to the manufacturer IBFM, a pair of hinges carries doors up to 22 kg (100 mm), 27 kg (125 mm) or 40 kg (150 mm). For greater stability and load capacity, fitting more than one pair of hinges is recommended.
The IBFM double-acting spring hinge is available in 100, 125 and 150 mm. The package contains 2 hinges; mounting screws are not included. Each hinge leaf has 4 countersunk holes, so one hinge takes 8 countersunk wood screws and the pair from the pack 16; IBFM does not publish the diameter or length, which are chosen to suit the thickness and type of the door leaf.
